Laybuy announces app based UK affiliate platform
Buy now pay later venture, Laybuy, has launched an affiliate programme which will allow UK customers to pay in six with its service at various brands, via the store directory available exclusively on its app.
This requires no technical integration with retailers and includes 200 merchants with immediate effect, including Amazon, eBay, Asos and Marks and Spencer.
Leveraging Laybuy’s partnerships with SOVRN and AWIN retail platforms, the affiliate programme is set to reach more than 5,000 brands online.
Shoppers need to sign-up to Laybuy, download the app and visit the shop directory on their smartphone or tablet. From there, they can select the retailer they want to shop with.
The retailer’s website will then load within the Laybuy app, where they can shop as normal. When the customer goes to pay, their details will be automatically generated, allowing them to pay for their purchases using Laybuy.
Gary Rohloff, Managing Director and Co-founder, Laybuy, says: “Today’s launch is a significant step towards our goal of making Laybuy available everywhere, and a clear signal of our ambitious plans for growth in the UK. Not all shops accept BNPL or often it’s a different provider.”
“Our affiliates programme is a real game changer and means Laybuy will soon be available in the UK at more than 5,000 brands.”
“Now, we and the retailers on our affiliate programme are giving people an even greater choice of shopping using Laybuy at household brands like Amazon, Asos, eBay or even EasyJet.”
Hitting the UK
Laybuy launched in the UK during 2019 in a partnership with Footasylum. The company started life in New Zealand and is majority owned by investment firm Pioneer Capital.
