Ocado Beyond 2022 exhibition/conference showcases online grocery disruption

Ocado Beyond, Ocado Solutions’ flagship annual product event and conference exclusive to its C-level and senior OSP partners, took place in London on 23rd - 26th May.

“Our retail partners from around the world had the chance to come to London and meet in person for four days of exclusive panels, talks with key industry players, live tours to our newest sites, and a unique exhibition featuring Ocado’s latest technology,” Ocado said in an online post.

It added: “Ocado Group shared with its international partners all it has learned from 22 years of disrupting online grocery. It also gave its OSP club members an ideal space to converge and engage with each other.”

“Being part of this leading club of global supermarket retailers gives partners direct access to our latest strategic thinking and innovation, and a chance to establish invaluable personal connections with each other.”

“And what’s more, Ocado Group is not only making online grocery profitable, but sustainable, and scalable as well.”

Myrmex

Ocado Group recently announced the proposed acquisition of materials handling robotics startup Myrmex for approximately €10.2 million.

The two companies expect to complete the deal by 6th June.

Ocado Group previously acquired a minority stake in Myrmex in October 2020 and appointed it to design and develop a proprietary solution, Automated Frameload, that automates the loading of totes containing customer orders onto frames ready for dispatch.

This will be going live in Ocado Group CFCs later this year.
