Debbie Conetta joins transactional advertising startup Playrcart
British AdTech startup Playrcart has added Debbie Conetta to its management team in the role of Commercial Retail Director.
The newly created position will involve sourcing and managing new retailer relationships across the likes of beauty, consumer packaged goods (CPG), and grocery.
Playrcart has developed technology to make any digital creative asset instantly transactional.
Joining from a previous new business role at Go Direct Marketing, Conetta brings more than 15 years of experience in client facing retail businesses focused on the UK, European and US markets.
She is described by founder Glen Dormieux as “an exceptional sales professional and leader with experience managing client partnerships to drive growth”.
Conetta says: “Playrcart’s innovative tech is much needed in the retail industry. It will be a game changer for brands, especially with the demise of the cookie and the dramatically changing landscape of online advertising.”
“As a consumer it excites me and the passionate marketeer in me is excited to share with retailers knowing the impact it will have.”
Funding round and Peter Scott
Last year, Playrcart raised over £1 million in funding and added Peter Scott as Chairman.
Scott co-founded WCRS and became Chairman and CEO at Aegis, and later co-founded and headed up The Engine Group.
“I am incredibly enthused about Playrcart,” he said. “What persuaded me to initially invest was the sheer size of the market opportunity, patentable tech and the absolute belief and commitment of Glen and Richard.”
He added: “We have a world class technology that’s opening up an entirely new sales channel for businesses. We’re in discussions with some very exciting brands, and our aim now is to make this a global application, and do so quickly.”
