Retail247

In October, Retail247 announced the deployment of Archean, its stock solution, at Crew Clothing stores.

This consists of a central engine (Archean Core), and is supported by a series of transaction providing solutions.

As part of Crew Clothing’s three-year technology strategy to enable efficient omnichannel retailing, the brand needed a platform to become its single repository of stock information.

Having established a strong partnership with Retail247, it chose to build on this existing foundation and selected Archean as its stock engine in March 2022, including the module Archean Move.

This is designed to be deployed in stores, Archean Move can be the store’s single portal for stock activity.

Transactions in Archean Move can have multiple states and can also trigger activity to other solutions, meaning that Archean can seamlessly maintain the integrity of legacy solutions where required.

Any movement discrepancies are also managed in Archean by rules and configurable permissions.

This enables users to define who can manage and approve transactions and discrepancies. Archean Move is intrinsically linked to Archean Core: all transaction outcomes are passed to Archean Core to be applied for all overall stock visibility.

After the deployment of other modules, Archean Move is now being piloted in select Crew Clothing stores. The pilot already demonstrates that Archean Move effectively reduces the time required for stock receipting by 70%.

By the end of October, Archean Move will be implemented across all Crew Clothing stores to facilitate all stock movement activities.

These activities include Stock Receipting, Store to Store Transfers, Store to Warehouse transfers and Stock Adjustments. Archean Move utilises the tablet’s camera for barcode scanning, eliminating the necessity for Crew Clothing to purchase additional hardware.

“We have successfully piloted the Archean store receipting capability in our Beaconsfield store with great results and positive feedback from the in-store team. We are now extending this pilot before full deployment to all stores by the end of October. After tracking the success of our first pilot, we estimate that Archean will halve our store staff processing times,” says Berenice Hampshire, Business Analyst, Crew Clothing.

“It has saved us so much time and has improved accuracy. It is a simple app which is user friendly, and I’ve trained the whole team with without issue” says the Store Manager at Crew Clothing Beaconsfield.
