Closing a chapter: Fahim Siddiqui wraps up his tenure as EVP and CIO at The Home Depot

Fahim Siddiqui has left The Home Depot, where he spent the last six and a half years, serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer.

He joined the retailer in 2018 from Staples, where he held the role of CIO and SVP, E-commerce & Digital.

In a LinkedIn post, he said: “After an incredible journey, I’ve wrapped up my tenure at The Home Depot, a place that has not only shaped my professional path, but deeply enriched my perspective on leadership, values, and what it means to build at scale.”

He added that, over the past few years, he headed up a team of 8,500+ technologists as they transformed the digital backbone of a $160 billion+ enterprise.

“Together, we modernised platforms, doubled e-commerce revenue, integrated AI and machine learning into customer experiences, and reimagined the intersection of physical and digital retail. But beyond the technology and scale, it was the culture, the servant leadership, and the people first mindset that made this chapter truly meaningful,” he said.

“I’m grateful for the incredible leaders I worked alongside, who demonstrated humility, courage, and clarity in every moment. The Home Depot values, Taking Care of People, Doing the Right Thing, Building Strong Relationships, aren’t just words on a wall. They are lived, every day.”

He concluded: “As I close this chapter, I carry forward deep appreciation and lasting relationships, and I look ahead with curiosity and optimism. I’m now exploring opportunities where I can help businesses navigate transformation, build modern platforms, and shape the future of enterprise technology, with purpose and impact. To those who have been part of this journey: thank you. I look forward to what’s next and to collaborating in new ways. Let’s stay connected.”

RTIH AI in Retail Awards

RTIH, organiser of the industry leading RTIH Innovation Awards, proudly brings you the first edition of the RTIH AI in Retail Awards, which is now open for entries.

As we witness a digital transformation revolution across all channels, AI tools are reshaping the omnichannel game, from personalising customer experiences to optimising inventory, uncovering insights into consumer behaviour, and enhancing the human element of retailers' businesses.

With 2025 set to be the year when AI and especially gen AI shake off the ‘heavily hyped’ tag and become embedded in retail business processes, our newly launched awards celebrate global technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world and the resulting benefits for retailers, shoppers and employees.

Our 2025 winners will be those companies who not only recognise the potential of AI, but also make it usable in everyday work - resulting in more efficiency and innovation in all areas.

Winners will be announced at an evening event at The Barbican in Central London on Wednesday, 3rd September.
