Musgrave ramps up Irish quick commerce push with Snappy Technologies Order Aggregation platform

Musgrave Northern Ireland, part of the Musgrave Group, an Irish convenience retail, wholesale and food service business, whose brands include SuperValu and Centra, has expanded its rapid grocery delivery offering through a partnership with Snappy Technologies, powered by the company’s Order Aggregation (OA) platform.

This connects its stores with leading rapid delivery marketplaces, with five company owned SuperValu and Centra stores across Northern Ireland now available on Just Eat and Uber Eats. A further 13 company owned stores are expected to launch in the next phase of the roll-out across September.

With the OA platform, Musgrave can manage orders from multiple online marketplaces through a single, streamlined solution. The technology enables retailers to manage key functions including orders, menus, promotions and stock across multiple channels.

Head of Operational Support for Musgrave Northern Ireland, Barry McVeigh, says: "We're always looking at ways to make shopping easier and more convenient for our customers, and this partnership with Snappy Technologies is an important step in that journey. By connecting our SuperValu and Centra stores to leading delivery platforms such as Just Eat and Uber Eats, we're giving customers greater flexibility in how they shop, whether that's picking up essentials or ordering groceries for the week ahead.”

“The technology also provides a streamlined solution for our store teams, allowing us to manage orders efficiently across multiple channels while maintaining the high standards of service our customers expect. We're excited to expand the roll-out across Northern Ireland in the coming months as demand for rapid grocery delivery continues to grow."

Andy Batt, VP of Snappy Technologies, says: “Musgrave is taking an ambitious approach to q-commerce, and we’re excited to support its strategy. The rapid growth of q-commerce is creating a significant opportunity for retailers but reaching customers across multiple different marketplaces can also introduce additional operational complexity. Our OA platform is designed to remove this complexity, giving retailers a simpler way to manage marketplace activity while expanding digital reach.”

2026 RTIH Innovation Awards

On demand delivery will be a key focus area at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards.

The awards are now open for entries and celebrate global retail technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.

Our winners will be revealed at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards Ceremony, taking place at The HAC in Central London on Wednesday, 4th November.

Check out our 2025 winners here.

Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.

In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”

“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”

He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”

Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
