Six retailers/brands that are so innovative right now

These retailers and brands are leading the way in providing technology and experiences that are one step ahead of their customers’ expectations.

1. Nestlé

A Nestle Market grocery store in Spain has implemented a facial recognition payment system developed by CaixaBank and its Payment Innovation Hub alliance, which comprises Global Payments, Visa, Samsung and Arval.

2. Carrefour

Carrefour and Nestlé are tapping IBM’s Food Trust blockchain platform to track the supply chain of the GUIGOZ Bio 2 and 3 infant milk range.

3. iZettle

iZettle has launched the Ocean Reader, pitched as the world’s first card reader made from recycled ocean plastic. 

4. adidas

Shoppers at the new adidas flagship store in London can now use the Instagram Camera on their mobiles to unlock AR installations that bring to life the stories behind the brand’s product innovations. 

This has been produced in collaboration with Facebook, under the direction of Facebook Creative Shop and utilising the social media giant’s Spark AR platform

5. Amazon

Amazon is working on Amazon Go cashierless supermarkets and pop-up stores. These could launch as soon as the first quarter of 2020, according to a person familiar with the project. 

6. Westfield London

Westfield London is opening byCircus, featuring 12 online beauty and wellness brands in a physical shopping environment for the first time.
