JD.com inks cross border e-commerce deal with Manzhouli City

Chinese retail giant JD.com is set to build a cross border e-commerce pilot zone in Manzhouli City.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The latter is located in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the country. It is China’s largest land port city with a border economic cooperation zone, a Sino-Russian mutual market trade zone, and an international logistics industrial park.

A partnership agreement, signed on 23rd September, includes an import/export distribution centre primarily serving the Russian market and also northeast Asia and eastern Europe. It will also involve an upgrade of the intelligent e-commerce industrial zone in Manzhouli.

Stard Huang, President of the International Logistics Division at JD.com, comments: “The cooperation agreement is upgraded at a critical moment that signifies the willingness of the two sides to grasp the changes in the market and adapt to the trends of the times.”

“In the future, the two sides will further integrate our respective resource advantages to promote all round cross-border e-commerce development in Manzhouli.”
