ESLs venture Pricer announces Chief Financial Officer hire
Electronic shelf labels (ESLs) specialist Pricer has recruited Susanna Zethelius as its new CFO and a member of the executive management team.
A graduate of Stockholm School of Economics, she is currently CFO at Clear Channel Scandinavia and has also held roles such as management consultant and financial analyst.
“Susanna’s strategic and analytical skills together with her personal qualities will be of great importance for our continued growth journey,” says Helena Holmgren, President and CEO at Pricer.
“Her experience from working closely to the business and providing support will be a valuable asset to the management team as we broaden our offering and introduce new business models.”
Intersport
Intersport recently rolled out Pricer’s ESLs across its European store estate.
The solution, which delivers around 1,000 SmartTAG HD per store, now provides instant price changes.

The ESLs also feature a QR code. Scanning the code, store associates have real-time visibility of stock, while shoppers can find out more information about the product on display, or place an order should the size or model they are looking for be sold out in-store.
Aggelos Stefanou, IT Manager at Intersport Greece, Cyprus and Balkans, says: “The huge amount of hours spent only on changing the prices, with everything from checking the prices, printing the paper labels and putting everything up in the right place was a big issue for us.”
“We realised that the employees could spend their time better serving our customers and doing other in-store tasks.”
Stefanou adds: “For us - and the whole retail industry - price management is extremely critical.”
“Today, we perform price controls every morning before the opening to ensure that the prices are up-to-date. At the same time, we now never have pricing mistakes.”
There were 10 store go lives in 2020 and there are plans to roll-out the tech in additional locations.
However, this is pending retail reopening/restrictions on Covid-19 easing.
