RTIH Editor’s Choice category
Our Editor, Scott Thompson, will pick his stand out entry from across 13 categories, covering such areas as physical and online retail, payments, supply chain, startups and the coronavirus outbreak.
He says: “The coronavirus outbreak has shown just how resilient and fast moving the retail industry can be.”
“And that was reflected in the 2020 RTIH Innovation Awards winners list, featuring as it did, agile, innovative tech ventures and retailers who have performed strongly in challenging times.”
Thompson adds: “The pandemic induced shift to digital has forever changed retail. But that doesn’t mean that physical retail is dead. Far from it.”
“Stores still have a vital role to play in terms of connecting with customers one on one.”
“Retailers are therefore investing in various technologies that deliver personalised customer experiences and make shopping as convenient as possible. A good example of the latter being the recently launched Amazon Fresh stores in London.”
“I can’t wait to see this trend and many others reflected in the shortlists for the 2021 RTIH Innovation Awards.”
