Farfetch teams with DRESSX for pre-order collection campaign
Farfetch has marked the launch of pre-order collections on its e-commerce platform by partnering with fashion startup DRESSX to digitally dress its global community of influencers and produce virtual editorial shoots, for the first time ever.
“DRESSX digitised 20 of our favourite pre-order looks from the newest collections of some of the hottest brands - Off-White, Balenciaga, Palm Angels, Dolce & Gabbana, Khaite and Nanushka - bringing the best new season fashion to you first,” Farfetch said in a LinkedIn post.
The campaign aims at promoting the Farfetch pre-order collection without any physical materials, unnecessary shipments, or damages for the environment.
“By going digital we were able to save 346 698 litres of water, that is enough for 20 people to drink for 24 years,” Farfetch stated.
“We also saved 2,515 kg CO2 eq, which accounts for 97.86% of CO2 emissions produced by a similar campaign in the physical space and equals 29 years of using a smartphone for 10 hours a day.”
“Making the pre-order campaign the first carbon neutral fashion campaign in the world.”
