Robert Dyas rolls out Competera price optimisation technology
Robert Dyas, a UK-based garden, DIY, electricals and homewares retailer, has deployed Competera's Competitive Data solution.
The company is expanding its online assortment range and so has begun daily monitoring of 30,000 SKUs. It is adding 5,000 more items to its monitoring scope every month with Competera.
"For a long while, competitive data collection was a manual process managed by a team of category managers at Robert Dyas,” comments Simon Spencelayh, E-commerce Director at Robert Dyas.
“We were using a competitive data provider before Competera but couldn't move any further due to the limited nature of the competitor’s price monitoring.”
“However, for Robert Dyas, price optimisation is an integral part of our further development, so we chose the Competera pricing platform to collect market insights and inject them into our pricing strategies. This partnership is expected to bring increased automation and further great results to our business.”
"It's vital and inspiring that retailers recognise the importance of optimal pricing for steady growth on the market and strengthening their positions against competitors,” adds Alex Galkin, CEO at Competera.
“In today's dynamic retail environment, retailers must strive to become the place for optimal purchase. This, in turn, cannot be realised without getting regular data-based insights into the market and competitors' price moves.”
“We are happy to welcome Robert Dyas onboard and supply the team with the data necessary for business growth and strategic excellence."
