The Very Group CIO Matt Grest praises tech and data teams for Black Friday work
Matt Grest, CIO at The Very Group, has taken to LinkedIn to praise the online retailer’s tech and data teams for “the months of hard work, planning and testing that this amazing bunch of people have put into making sure we deliver a brilliant digital customer experience for the families we serve during the busiest trading periods of the year”.
Grest, who joined The Very Group in 2020 from the BBC, said: “Black Friday is the day our tech systems are tested to the max, and our teams have worked hard to scale our platforms to ensure Very’s website and app ran smoothly when traffic volumes were so much greater than normal.”
“Whether it's air fryers, TVs, fragrances, games consoles or AirPods that our customers are buying, our teams have worked so hard to give them a great customer experience. What a fantastic team we have here.”
