Weee! bags $425m in funding and focuses on warehouse automation
Weee!, a California-based grocery delivery platform providing Asian and Hispanic products, has raised $425 million in a funding round led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2.
Greyhound Capital and existing shareholders also took part in the round that took the venture’s total capital raised so far to $800 million.
It plans to use the fresh funds to expand its customer base, offer grocery and food delivery services to new geographies and develop warehouse automation.
RELEX Solutions
Weee! recently partnered with RELEX Solutions to drive improvements throughout its core supply chain operations.
RELEX will provide its distribution centres with demand forecasting and automated replenishment, as well as promotional forecasting, markdown optimisation, and the ability to share forecasts with its network of suppliers.
Weee!’s is also looking to optimise its use of space and resources. The RELEX solution will drive improvements to the quick commerce retailer’s planning efficiency, inventory levels, and product availability.
