Baltic Petroleum boosts store inventory and planogram management processes with Leafio AI tie up
Baltic Petroleum, a gas station operators in Lithuania, has chosen Leafio technology for its convenience stores' inventory and merchandising operations.
This is a cloud-based solution that combines AI algorithms and automation of retail processes.
Running a chain of 84 petrol stations in Lithuania, Baltic Petroleum managers faced the need to unify approaches to stock replenishment and planogram creation.
They searched for in-depth, solid analytical tools for making informed managerial decisions.
"We chose Leafio because we liked the team's energy and expertise. They already have successful implementation projects for gas station chains in different countries with good efficiency results,” says Edvin Bachšijan, СEO at Baltic Petroleum.
“We understood that we could trust them because their team not only implements solutions but also helps to build correct and more effective business processes.”
“We understand that the success of this project will be the result of a joint effort and we are happy to see a professional approach from Leafio with specific KPIs and experience in our field of work.”
Previously order generation in the Baltic Petroleum store chain was decentralised.
Gas station managers formed supplier orders for their stores based on their experience and instinct, leading to overstocking and write offs.
The implementation of the Leafio cloud platform will allow Baltic Petroleum to:
Fully automate stock replenishment, taking into account seasonal fluctuations and promotional campaigns;
Reduce the risk of overstocks and write offs by setting up an "empty warehouse" mode to increase the availability and service level; gain access to more than 40 analytical reports, which give a detailed picture of the inventory "health";
Automate planogram creation, including unified planograms for specific formats; analyse the display efficiency in real-time and rotate the assortment throughout the chain with just a few clicks;
Implement changes and control planogram execution with the help of the mobile app for gas station employees.
The project is being implemented in three phases. The partner teams have completed the first stage - analysis of business processes and setup of automatic data exchange.
The second stage includes training key users on working with the Leafio system and connecting a pilot group of products to the auto order. Ahead of that is scaling up to the entire assortment and chain and training employees in the analytical block.
“We are extremely pleased with our cooperation with Baltic Petroleum. The project team jokes that they have already become like a family considering the time Leafio and Baltic Petroleum employees spend together,” says Alex Medwin, CEO at Leafio.
“We are sure this partnership will grow into a strong corporate friendship and bring quick financial results to our client and to us - a new successful project to add to our experience and expertise.”
