Summit wins Wickes DIY marketing contract in the UK
Wickes, the UK-based DIY and home improvement business that caters for professionals and amateurs alike, has given its pay-per-click (PPC), SEO and affiliate marketing to Summit for two years, a performance marketing agency it has worked with before.
Wickes first began working with Summit in Spring 2023 via its proprietary Comparison Shopping Service (CSS) - Productcaster.
After outstanding trial results on Google Shopping, Wickes and Summit began exploring working together in a more formalised manner, across key performance channels, such as paid media, SEO and affiliates.
Summit’s past performance, specialism and footprint in retail was crucial in Wickes awarding the new two-year performance marketing contract in the new year. The agency will be responsible for all marketing investments and return on investment (ROI) marketing within its designated performance channels.
With more than 230 stores across the UK, Wickes is another significant UK household brand name retailer added to Summit’s roster of clients. Other retail brands it serves include the mobile firm, Three, Ann Summers retail and Silentnight beds.
Commenting on the deal, Ryan Thomas, Chairman of Summit, said: “This new partnership is huge for the business. It’s a glowing testament not just to the incredible work from our team of retail and digital marketing experts, but the tenacity and commitment they've shown when getting this over the line.”
“Wickes is a dream client for us,” he continued. “We can’t wait to demonstrate just how much commercial impact we can drive through our strategic knowledge and considered, tactical approach.”
According to Paul Canavan, Digital Director at Wickes: “We’re delighted to announce our new partnership with Summit. Seeing the results from our previous work with Productcaster was hugely encouraging and there’s a great chemistry with the Summit team, which is key for us as a business.”
“They’re genuine experts in retail and digital,” he continued. “As we continue to grow, it’s crucial we have the best team in place to take us even further. We’re confident we’ve found this in Summit.”
