Fynd’s Sreeraman MG set to head up Global Tech Advocates' RetailTech Group alongside Oliver Kaye

Sreeraman MG (SMG), Founder of Fynd, has been appointed Co-Lead of the Global Tech Advocates (GTA) RetailTech Group, alongside Oliver Kaye, who has CEO and senior leadership experience across brands including Lenskart, Tesco, Selfridges, Gap India, and Calvin Klein India. This was announced at Source Fashion London by Russ Shaw, Founder of Tech London Advocates and Global Tech Advocates.

GTA RetailTech is a global ideas network connecting those building retail technology with the retailers deploying it. The group focuses on the future of retail, including AI and automation, data and loyalty, supply chain and fulfillment, payments, sustainability, and marketplaces, and convenes through one flagship in-person gathering once a year.

For the UK, the appointment aims to strengthen the country's position as a hub for global retail innovation, giving founders operating in the region or those looking to expand in the UK direct access to international operators, providing retailers an earlier read on the technologies shaping commerce elsewhere in the world.

SMG and Kaye bring more than two decades of combined experience across India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the UK spanning retail technology infrastructure and international retail operations. The pair will lead the group's approximately 1,000 members, with further plans to be announced later this summer.

"When we launched the RetailTech working group within Tech London Advocates nearly a decade ago, it started as a small, passionate team. Today, it has matured into a thriving community of advocates dedicated to understanding and driving technology’s profound impact across the retail sector,” says Shaw.

“I am thrilled to welcome the combined leadership of SMG and Oliver to maintain this fantastic momentum and take the group to the next level. Their exceptional international retail and infrastructure experience will help expand the group, spotlighting key retail innovations from every corner of the world. This evolution aligns with Global Tech Advocates’ core mission: to support international tech hubs, while simultaneously cementing the UK’s position as one of the world's most dynamic and fastest growing tech ecosystems."

"The most valuable conversations in retail happen when the people building the technology and the people running the operations are in the same room. Russ and the Tech London Advocates built exactly that, and have grown it into something the industry genuinely needs. I'm honoured to take this forward alongside Oliver and committed to making sure the community continues to reflect what's actually happening at the frontier of global retail,” says SMG.

"Having spent my career on the retail side, running stores, operations, and P&Ls across the UK, Europe, and India, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to separate genuine innovation from the noise. The real value of this group is that it puts retailers in the exact same room as the builders, rather than having them watch from a distance. I'm incredibly excited to bring that same practical rigour to how we grow this community,” comments Kaye.

2026 RTIH Innovation Awards

AI will be a key focus area at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards.

The awards are now open for entries and celebrate global retail technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.

Our winners will be revealed at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards Ceremony, taking place at The HAC in Central London on Wednesday, 4th November.

Check out our 2025 winners here.

Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.

In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”

“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”

He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”

Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
