Alan Boehme takes on CTO role at H&M Group

H&M Group has appointed Alan Boehme as Chief Technology Officer.

He takes over from Joel Ankarberg who now becomes Head of Group Strategy & Transformation.

Together with Daniel Claesson, Chief Product Officer, Boehme wil be heading up the new organisation Business Tech, the aim of which is to strengthen the ability to innovate and develop the business, producing an improved and smoother shopping experience for customers.

“My ‘beach vacation’ is officially over. I am happy to announce today I have started on another journey as the CTO for the H&M Group,” Boehme said in a LinkedIn post.

“I am very excited about joining an organisation with a fantastic history, an innovative industry leading mindset, strong commitments to our customers, employees and the world through our corporate values and ongoing commitment to sustainability.”

The H&M Group has eight brands: H&M, COS, Monki, Weekday, & Other Stories, Cheap Monday, H&M Home and ARKET. 

Boehme previously worked at Procter & Gamble as SVP and Chief Technology Innovation Officer. His CV also includes a stint at The Coca-Cola Company as Chief Information and Innovation Officer (Global IT) & Chief Enterprise Architect.
