IGD seeks new boss as Denney-Finch triggers notice period

IGD Chief Executive, Joanne Denney-Finch, will be leaving her role in September. The research and training charity for the food and grocery industry is currently searching for her successor.

“Last year was a landmark year for me, marking 20 years in my tenure as Chief Executive at IGD. During that time, we have built a strong team, whose contribution to our industry has never been greater,” says Denney-Finch. “It has, however, been my ambition for some time to explore a number of different opportunities in both my professional and personal life in the future and these require more time than I presently have working full time. As a result, I have taken the decision to trigger my notice period.”

She adds: “Today, the charity has never been stronger and is in an excellent position for the future. In addition, last year marked 20 consecutive years of growth in the trading company at IGD - and I feel it too is in great shape for the future. It feels like the right time for me to take this next step, knowing that both the organisation and the wider team are in a strong position moving forward.”
