Astound Commerce a natural fit for Bata e-commerce initiative

Shoemaker Bata has launched a new flagship e-commerce website in Italy, the first part of a transformation project, implemented by Astound Commerce. 

The latter designed and delivered a solution that is integrated with Salesforce Commerce Cloud. It also includes cloud-based order management solution, Radial, and integration platform, MuleSoft. It provides advanced onsite search and filtered results, showing visibility of stock in real-time across all retail and warehouse locations. Customers also get access to Click and Collect and home delivery options and returns can be picked up from home or returned in-store.

Bata apps for staff and customers are also available, which have enabled the retailer to implement endless aisle technology and provide customers and sales advisors with greater online visibility to deal with enquiries. The solution also covers marketing and customer service focused applications, such as shipping notifications, delivery and ready-to-collect emails as part of its Click and Collect offering.  

Following the launch of bata.it, a roll-out is planned across Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific in the coming months.
