Facebook preps privacy focused pop-up cafes
Facebook is opening a network of pop-up cafes around the UK, including London and Edinburgh. These will offer free drinks and a privacy checkup, in a bid to ease consumers’ online data security concerns.
The Facebook Café initiative will run from 28th August to 5th September. The social media giant, which has struggled to counter the argument that it doesn’t care about protecting user data, has said it is the result of a recent poll that stated 27% of Londoners don’t know how to customise their social media privacy settings.
