MediaMarktSaturn taps parcelLab smarter shipping solution
European electronics retailer MediaMarktSaturn has worked with parcelLab to make the shipping process more customer-centric.
This involves sending out branded emails to buyers, informing them of the status of their order in an on-brand way, and also providing discount vouchers and complementary product suggestions to inspire additional purchasing.
“MediaMarktSaturn simply transmits their shipment data to us in accordance with EU privacy legislation,” says parcelLab’s Founder and CEO, Tobias Buxhoidt. “All relevant information is then automatically detected. Our intelligent solution validates the shipment data, combines it with the shipping information of the logistics partner and then automatically sends on-brand shipping messages directly to the customer.”
The new process has created an extra 3.53 million customer touchpoints for MediaMarktSaturn, with shipping email opening rates standing at 71%. The retailer also reports increased revenue and fewer calls to its call centre.
“parcelLab has developed an easy solution to improve the customer experience for the shipping process,” says MediaMarktSaturn’s Chief Digital Officer, Marius Luckemeyer. “Already we’re seeing this through an increase in loyalty and more repurchasing. We have created an additional communication and marketing channel that is very well received by our customers. In a nutshell, our customers now remain our customers.”
