Ikea talks Google Cloud powered digital transformation efforts
Google Cloud has released details of its work with Ikea as the retailer accelerates its digital transformation amid the coronavirus outbreak.
It says that deploying cloud services has enabled it to transform its data analytics capabilities, embedding artificial intelligence and machine learning across all business areas to better understand customer needs.
It has been able to launch and scale new omnichannel functions as it set up contactless Click and Collect offerings and managed large volumes of web traffic and online orders during the pandemic.
Ikea has also developed customer services solutions such as its “design your dream home” demo using mixed reality.
