Foodhub targets big hitter rivals with CTO hire

UK-based food delivery platform Foodhub has appointed Paul Hodkinson as Chief Technology Officer.

He joins from SamsonVT and has also worked for YouTube challenger, Brave Bison and Santander startup, Mortgage Engine. He is tasked with driving technological change and developing project delivery strategies designed to help Foodhub take on the likes of Just Eat and Deliveroo.

“I am excited to propel Foodhub to its full potential in the food delivery sector,” says Hodkinson.

“With our 0% commission policy and a technology platform that delivers more to the customer, we aim to dominate the likes of Just Eat, Deliveroo and UberEats. The challenge is to ensure our offering is scalable and agile enough to support hyper growth, whilst remaining easy to use for our customers.” 

Foodhub launched in 2017. There are more than 11,000 takeaways currently featured online and through its iOS and Android apps.
