Eight innovative retail technology deployments

These retailers are leading the way in providing technology and experiences that are one step ahead of their customers’ expectations.

Bambuser has inked a live video shopping deal with online fashion retailer Moda Operandi.

This, according to a press release, will initially run for six months and is “based on a fixed monthly licence fee, as well as a variable part depending on usage”.

2. Amazon

Amazon has developed a smart shopping cart that lets customers check-out without a cashier.

The Dash Cart is coming to Amazon’s Woodland Hills, California grocery store in 2020.

It uses a combination of computer vision algorithms and sensor fusion to identify items you put in the cart. When you exit through the store’s Dash Cart lane, sensors automatically identify the cart, and your payment is processed using the credit card on your Amazon account. Think an Amazon Go store on wheels.
