Walmart+ membership programme finally set to launch
Walmart will launch its Amazon Prime competitor Walmart+ on 15th September.
This costs $98 a year or $12.95 a month and comes with a 15-day free trial period.
The offering includes the likes of unlimited free deliveries of groceries and general merchandise, discounts on fuel at Walmart gas stations, and in-store use of Scan & Pay in the retailer’s app.

The debut of Walmart+ has been delayed on several occasions. Walmart had planned to usher in the service during July. Prior to that, the launch date had been March/April. A spokesperson declined to comment on the delays.
“We are a company committed to meeting our customers’ needs,” says Janey Whiteside, Chief Customer Officer at Walmart. “Customers know they can trust us and depend on us, and we’ve designed this programme as the ultimate life hack for them.”
“Walmart+ will bring together a comprehensive set of benefits where we see the greatest needs from our customers and where our scale can bring solutions at an unprecedented value.”
