BrewDog brings in Fraser Brown as Head of IT
UK-based brewery and pub chain, BrewDog, has hired Fraser Brown as Head of Information Technology.
Brown, who takes up the position this week, joins from Aberdeen Standard Investments where he served as an IT consultant.
His CV also includes stints as Head of IT at Cello Signal and Director of Global IT & Security at Wood Mckenzie.
Coronavirus crisis
BrewDog has been a vocal critic of the UK government’s handling of the coronavirus outbreak.
Last year, it took a swing at former government adviser Dominic Cummings and his controversial trip from London to Durham and back again during lockdown, with the launch of a new beer called Barnard Castle Eye Test.
COO David McDowall, meanwhile, gave the thumbs up to a civil service tweet that slammed the government as “truth twisters”.

Most recently, the company announced that it was in talks with the Minister For Vaccine Deployment, Nadhim Zahawi, and Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister of Scotland, over the roll-out of the coronavirus vaccine.
“We have offered all our bars to help with a quick roll-out of the vaccine. For free,” BrewDog boss James Watt tweeted.
“We have waiting areas, huge refrigerators and ace people who can help organise.”
