Aldi Ireland makes online move with Click and Collect service
Aldi Ireland today begins the roll-out of a new Click and Collect service.
The discount retailer’s first foray into e-commerce in the country, this will allow customers to order their shopping online at least one day, and up to one week, prior to picking it up for a fee of €4.99.

It will be tested out at the Sallynoggin store in Dublin and then deployed at more locations, possibly as many as 15, over the coming months.
“Having experienced and witnessed the months of hard work (from multiple teams) and the long days it took to get to this stage I am so proud of what we have been able to deliver in such a short space of time,” says John Paul Ganley, E-Commerce Director at Aldi Ireland.
“This service will help a lot of people during the coronavirus pandemic.”
Meanwhile, over in England…
Last year, Aldi began piloting its first UK Collect and Collect service in England.
Giles Hurley, CEO at Aldi UK and Ireland, said: “We know that more and more people want to access the high quality, affordable food they know they can get at Aldi.”
“This is yet another way we are innovating to make sure we best serve our existing customers and make Aldi’s great products and unbeatable prices available to even more people.”
