Simbe Robotics Tally robot surpasses 75,000 miles of shelf scanning
Simbe Robotics says that its retail intelligence robot Tally has completed over 75,000 miles of operation in-stores.
First introduced in 2015, Tally provides visibility to shelf conditions across the entire store.
By leveraging data collected through shelf scans, it provides opportunities for retailers to lower out-of-stocks, improve price compliance and validate promotional execution.
The robot operates multiple times a day during store hours, navigating alongside shoppers and store teams. As it offers both RFID and computer vision capabilities, it collects insights from both consumer packaged goods as well as soft-tagged goods like clothing and accessories.
Our robot Tally has autonomously traversed more than 75,000 miles in-stores! That’s the equivalent of more than three trips around the world 🌎

“With every mile traversed in stores, we’ve continued to enhance Tally’s market leading computer vision and AI technology, creating a best-in-class solution for retailers,” says Brad Bogolea, Co-Founder and CEO, Simbe Robotics.
“As a result of our diligent work to continuously hone Tally’s algorithms over time, we are now able to work in any store regardless of shelf configuration, fixture type or price tag format.”
Simbe Robotics lays claim to the largest global footprint of any retail intelligence robot, with public deployments with Carrefour, Decathlon Sporting Goods, Giant Eagle, the Save Mart Companies, and Schnuck Markets.
