Six retail technology funding rounds you need to know about

RTIH rounds up the retail systems ventures who have recently bagged significant investments, including Contentsquare, Forter and Wayflyer.

1. Homzmart

Homzmart, a Middle East-based furniture and home goods marketplace platform, has closed a $15 million Series A funding round.

Hard launched in Q1 2020, Homzmart was co-founded by Mahmoud Ibrahim, former COO at Daraz, and Ibrahim Mohamedm, who previously worked ar Jumia and led the company’s logistics development and expansion in Egypt. 

2. Divido

Divido, a startup whose white label platform connects lenders, retailers and channel partners at the PoS, has announced a $30 million Series B funding round.

The was led by HSBC and ING, with participation from Sony Innovation Fund by IGV, SBI Investment, OCS, Global Brain and DG Daiwa Ventures along with existing investors DN Capital, Dawn Capital, IQ Capital and Amex Ventures.

3. Forter

E-commerce fraud prevention venture, Forter, has raised $300 million in Series F funding led by Tiger Global Management, with participation from Third Point Ventures and Adage Capital Management. 

Six months ago, Forter completed a $125 million Series E round

It has now raised over $500 million of capital and almost tripled its valuation to $3 billion, whilst claiming to be the most valuable privately held company ever in the fraud prevention space.

4. Contentsquare

5. Wayflyer

Wayflyer, a revenue-based financing platform for e-commerce merchants, is basking in the glow of a $76 million Series A fundraise led by Left Lane Capital.

There was also support from partners of DST Global, QED Investors, Speedinvest and Zinal Growth, the family office of Guillaume Pousaz (founder of Checkout.com).

The cash will be used to support Wayflyer's product development and international expansion. 

6. Delhivery

Ahead of an IPO, Indian e-commerce logistics startup, Delhivery, has announced a $277 million funding round led by Fidelity. 

This values the 10-year-old venture at around $3 billion.
