7-Eleven launches store operations, CX innovation challenge
Convenience retailer 7-Eleven is teaming up with retail and consumer investment and innovation firm, True, to find innovative ways to simplify store operations in the US and Canada.
The pair are hoping to find innovators and businesses that can free up time for 7-Eleven associates so they can focus on the customer and provide excellent service.
7-Eleven is looking for technology driven solutions, including those powered by AI and AR powered, that will:
1. Simplify store operations, allowing store associates to make decisions with less time and effort.
This could be with (but not limited to) solutions that help optimise product assortment, product placement, improve inventory tracking and visibility or reduce food waste though ideas that help identify products prior to expiration.
2. Reduce task loads for associates and improve the overall store experience for customers through innovation.
These solutions should make the daily tasks, including food service, customer support, cleaning, merchandising and inventory, undertaken by staff more efficient through automation, robotics or by another means.
Further information here.
Applications will close on 9th November. Those applicants that are shortlisted will have the opportunity to pitch to 7-Eleven.
