Leon Shepherd steps down from CIO and Digital Strategy Director role at Ted Baker

Leon Shepherd has departed Ted Baker, where he served as CIO and Digital Strategy Director.

In a LinkedIn post dated 31st January, he said: “After five years and five months, today is my last day at Ted Baker. It has been a tremendous period of change that has encompassed three CEOs, four Chairs, five CFOs and the very recent sale of the business.”

He added: “During that time I was able to build the most incredible technology team from (almost) scratch and that team has gone on to successfully deliver a highly complex digital transformation that has made a massive difference and I am hugely proud of.”

“Each and every member of that team are genuinely great at what they do and it has been a real privilege to lead them.”

“So, if you ever get the opportunity to work with any of them, you will be working with individuals who are not just experts in their field but are incredibly focused, hard working and always deliver as well as having an amazingly supportive and kind culture.”

Shepherd concluded: “It has also been a privilege to work with some great ExCo and Plc colleagues both past and present. Thank you also to the suppliers that became genuine partners in driving real business enabling digital transformation.”

Prior to Ted Baker, Shepherd was Interim CIO at Jack Wills and, before that, IT & Business Change Director at FatFace.

He has also worked at Marks and Spencer, holding the position of Head of E-Commerce Technology and International IT.

And he spent over nine years at Vodafone, including Head of Core Network and Head of E-Commerce Delivery.

He says that he is now going to take some time out, after what he describes as an incredibly busy time, and then see “what exciting and interesting roles are available”.
