RTIH Innovation Awards: Best Retailer/Tech Supplier Relationship shortlist announced

Carrefour, Pricer, Ted Baker, THRIVE, Studenac, and Wolt are among the nominees in the Best Retailer/Technology Supplier Relationship category at the 2022 RTIH Innovation Awards.

This award recognises a successful partnership between a retailer and a technology supplier, with an emphasis on the last 12 months and how said partnership has gone from strength to strength during that period.

2022 shortlist as follows:

CUB/Afresh

Afresh is aiming to change the experience of grocery store fresh departments while eliminating food waste and helping make fresh food accessible to all.

One example of this is the company's partnership with Minnesota-based CUB, one of the nation’s first discount grocery stores serving millions of customers in the US Midwest each month.

Carrefour/Pricer

Carrefour has worked with Pricer to confront the problem of profitability by introducing technology in 500 stores that enables in-store staff to pick and pack online orders much more quickly, to boost efficiency and protect margins.

The solution is called Pick To Light and enables Carrefour to not only meet the increasing popularity online grocery orders fulfilled through its store network, but also to meet rising e-commerce demand more profitably.

Pick to Light has been built on top of Carrefour’s current network of Pricer’s advanced electronic shelf-edge labels (ESLs).

Clekt and Tottenham Hotspur

Clekt and Tottenham Hotspur have developed a strong, productive working relationship over the past two years, with some key projects delivered in the past 12 months.

The focus of the partnership is to unlock the asset value of the data that is flowing around the football club.

Using Clekt’s cloud-based Enterprise Data Hub technology, operational systems are connected, the data flows between systems are harvested, modelled and made available to support analytics across the club often in real-time.

Lounge Underwear/Patchworks

Lounge Underwear began working with Patchworks to integrate its Shopify Plus e-commerce platform with its core business processes.

The project went beyond next level integration. Patchworks noticed that Lounge Underwear needed support with stock and inventory management to be able to further drive business performance.

Therefore, its stock control ‘live service’ product, Stockr, was initially built for Lounge Underwear, to provide scalable and flexible stock control.

MillerKnoll/Marxent

After a successful trial, MillerKnoll is rolling out a new, code-free system for building and maintaining consumer facing, web-based 3D product configurators for furniture e-commerce, all powered by 3D Cloud by Marxent.

The self-service product configuration tool will be used by shoppers, interior designers, and trade professionals to visualise every possible combination, get accurate pricing as they design, download images at any stage in the process, and share them with friends and family.

Studenac/Wolt

Croatian retailer Studenac has teamed up with DoorDash subsidiary Wolt to open a network of dark stores, in the Adriatic country’s first such collaboration between a store chain and a delivery platform.

Ted Baker/THRIVE

Ted Baker has launched THRIVE’s Learning & Skills Platform.

Before, its learning methods were outdated. With 2,300+ employees spanning 560 global locations, 70% of whom aren’t desk-based, it couldn’t engage its people with important comms, learning opportunities, or each other.

Today, THRIVE has become the backbone of learning, communication and collaboration, helping the company achieve its goal of a united, engaged workforce across all locations, with content to support their personal lives and mental health too.

Vivino/AfterShip

Vivino, an online wine marketplace and app, brought AfterShip onboard to transform its post-purchase experience.

This has seen it strengthen its dexterity in the final mile with unified order visibility and enabled proactive customer communication to provide hassle free delivery experiences for every order.

And the winner is…
