Vivobarefoot introduces VivoBiome digital platform to ‘redefine the way we create and experience footwear’

Footwear and lifestyle brand Vivobarefoot has launched VivoBiome, a digital experiential platform for personalised, locally assembled, circular footwear.

And the firm is looking for 200 Brits to try the first generation of products before a wider global launch.

Bespoke to each individual, each VivoBiome product is created using a 3D foot scan which the customer can then personalise on the platform to create an AI enabled model.

Working with Unreal Engine, the platform enables the product to come to life using photoreal visuals and each person in the trial will be able to have an immersive virtual try on.

They can then choose to further customise its design and colour before sending it to print.

The footwear is made using SLS 3D printing, with AI driven data providing in real-time sustainability credentials.

The aforementioned programme is priced at £260 and each successful applicant will receive three pairs of the first generation product to walk, run and explore in and asked to provide feedback to inform adjustments or developments for later models.

They will also be first in line for any new releases, gain access to exclusive masterclasses, be invited to events hosted with other participants and have lifetime access to the Vivohealth hub which hosts courses from natural health experts across the world.

Asher Clark, Vivobarefoot  Co-founder and CDO, comments: “ VivoBiome is not just a new product, it’s a radical vision for a circular system; enabled by technology to re-imagine manufacturing that takes it back to its roots.”

“Indigenous footwear has been made for millennia person by person, foot by foot and out of local materials, a far cry from the mass marketed products that are destined for landfills and we want to get back to this heart of community driven innovation and production.”

“The future is at our feet and we want to be part of the solution that empowers communities to be the feet on the ground that can change it for the better.”

Following the programme, the first generation of footwear will also be available for other UK-based VivoBiome members at £250 per pair from January 2024, which comes with physical and digital ownership with 75 days delivery time of the order.

A US offering is due to be unlocked with localised assembly late 2024 and other markets will be announced at a later date.
