MOST INNOVATIVE GLOBAL RETAILER SHORTLIST AS FOLLOWS:
Who has been the most innovative, customer focused global retailer this year?
Judges are asked to look at highlighted tech deployments, pilots, initiatives etc and decide which retailer has been the most consistently forward thinking and customer centric over the last 12 months.
Haugaland Storhusholdning and StrongPoint
Haugaland Storhusholdning has implemented the world’s first AutoStore Multi-Temperature Solution, transforming its frozen, chilled, and ambient storage capabilities.
This innovation, installed by StrongPoint, enables it to handle frozen goods within an automated storage and retrieval system, maximising space and efficiency. By integrating three temperature zones into a single grid, it overcame industry wide barriers of frozen storage automation, greatly increasing warehouse capacity, speed, and working conditions.
This project has reshaped Haugaland Storhusholdning’s supply chain operations, creating a competitive advantage while boosting sustainability through optimised energy usage.
Hugo Boss and Epam
Epam was tasked with crafting the next generation of customer loyalty in fashion, enabling access to a premium, personal and always evolving space of benefits and experiences, exclusive to Hugo Boss members.
A membership programme blends traditional, transactional loyalty with behavioural loyalty leveraging blockchain technology to be truly data driven.
With a soft launch in the UK in June 2024, Epam has introduced four traditional membership levels in combination with experience led membership tokens, which always come with a clear value exchange to the customer, being either access and/or utility to money-can’t-buy experiences.
Lowe’s
Mobile apps play a pivotal role in enhancing the customer experience and driving sales. Customers seek a smooth and intuitive experience at every stage of their shopping journey. Lowe’s solution, In-Store Mode, serves as a customer’s digital shopping companion.
The product has undergone significant improvements that have elevated the in-store shopping experience, ultimately leading to increased customer satisfaction and engagement. In-Store Mode acts as a key shopping resource, offering customers’ convenience and flexibility.
Customers are empowered to navigate aisles, streamline cart management and discover relevant products while physically located within a Lowe’s store and beyond the four walls.
Super-Pharm
In collaboration with weR, Super-Pharm has transformed the in-store experience into an interactive adventure. Shoppers scan shelf QR codes to instantly access product coupons, dive into immersive branded content, and discover hidden surprises, all via the power of AR and AI.
