Amazon customers get unexpected marijuana delivery

Some Amazon customers in Orlando, Florida got a surprise when they ordered plastic storage bins and said bins arrived with 65 pounds of marijuana. Police seized the drugs and launched an investigation. The shipment had been sent by Amazon’s Warehouse Deals via UPS from a facility in Massachusetts.

The customers spoke anonymously to local media about the incident. They claimed that Amazon had offered them $150 in compensation via email. "When the first officer got here, she was in disbelief,” they said. "We were still pretty fearful our home would be broken into, and we didn't sleep there for a few days."

In a statement, Amazon told the BBC: "Our customer service team worked directly with the customer to address concerns and will work with law enforcement to investigate the case, as needed."
