Fabric launches Rami Levy micro fulfilment centre
Israeli startup Fabric, formerly CommonSense Robotics, has gone live with a robotic micro-fulfilment site in Tel Aviv.
This is serving the online customers of grocery retailer, Rami Levy. One-hour and same-day deliveries are on offer.
According to a press release, “it fits the full power of automation into an 18,000 square foot triangular space with an average height of only 11 feet. It is a full-service grocery site with three temperature zones, fulfilling fresh, ambient, chilled, and frozen items, and will be fulfilling hundreds of orders a day.”
The launch closely follows a $110 million Series B funding round. This was led by Corner Ventures with participation from Aleph, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), Innovation Endeavors, La Maison, Playground Ventures and Temasek. Further details here.
