Six retailers and brands deploying innovative technologies

These retailers and brands are leading the way in providing technology and experiences that are one step ahead of their customers’ expectations.

1. Watsons China

Watsons China is set to deploy Tencent’s WeChat Work platform and Cloud Stores in its 3,800 stores during Q1.

2. GS25

South Korean retailer GS25 has opened a cashierless convenience store in Jung District, Seoul.

3. Asda

Asda is launching its first sustainability store.

Its concept technology store in Stevenage is, meanwhile, testing out the likes of 3D holograms and electronic shelf labels.

And it has also launched a Click & Collect service that allows shoppers to pick up their online orders in under an hour.

4. Walgreens

Walgreens is piloting a training programme using Microsoft HoloLens 2 and tablet devices at its Kroger Express stores.

5. Vestiaire Collective 

Vestiaire Collective, a Paris-based luxury fashion resale website, is leveraging the New Relic cloud-based platform as it scales up its infrastructure to support digital customer experience and international expansion.

6. Pandora

Pandora is establishing a new digital group at its Copenhagen HQ.
