IWD 2020 - 10 women leading the way in the retail tech world
To mark International Women’s Day 2020, RTIH brings you 10 women who are making positive impacts on the retail technology sector.
1. Jo Hickson
Jo heads up Tesco’s technology R&D arm, Tesco Labs. She has also been Head of Innovation at TUI and Group Head of Innovation at Home Retail Group.
2. Tiffany Lung
Tiffany is a retail analyst based in Hong Kong and London, with a focus on innovation trends and consumer behaviours. She was also on the judging panel for the 2019 RTIH Innovation Awards.
3. Anne Marie Neatham
Anne Marie started her career in Dublin as a software engineer with a small development company. She then moved to Boston in the US where she worked as a developer through to development manager at Staples.
In 2012, Anne Marie took on the role of Head of Ocado Technology Poland, followed by COO and now OCTO Commercial Director.
4. Sue Harries
Sue recently moved from Kingfisher’s Screwfix brand to become the retailer’s Group E-commerce Director.
“Sue has played such a huge part in our growth throughout her 15 years at Screwfix, in Commercial Finance, Trade Counters and, most recently, building our web proposition as our Director of E-commerce,” Screwfix said in a LinkedIn post.
5. Rachael Halstead
Rachael, owner of Rachael’s Kitchen, recently talked to RTIH about making the move from finance to retail and the challenges and highlights that come from building a cupcake empire. Read the interview here.
6. Jennifer Stephens (née Roebuck)
Ted Baker is bringing in Jennifer Stephens (née Roebuck) to take on the newly created role of Chief Customer Officer.
Jennifer, who starts in April, has been at the retailer since 2017 as a non-executive director. She is currently Chief Marketing Officer at Feelunique and her CV also includes a stint as Multi-channel Marketing Director at French Connection.
7. Helen Slaven
Helen recently took on the role of Chief Revenue Officer at London-based app commerce startup Poq.
Her previous jobs include Chief Sales Officer at Eagle Eye Solutions, Senior Vice President, Retail Division EMEA at Micros Retail Systems and CEO at BT Expedite.
8. Justine Santa Cruz
Last year, Justine joined Target as Lead Programme & Operations Manager, Accelerators.
She was previously at Satisfi Labs, where, over a period of almost three years, she served as SVP, Enterprise and Retail and VP, Product. Her CV also includes a spell at Macy’s as Senior Marketing Manager, Omnichannel Enhancements.
9. Letitia Webster
Late last year, US retailer Tractor Supply Company promoted Letitia to Senior Vice President of E-commerce.
She joined the company in 2014 as the Divisional Merchandise Manager for Omnichannel and has served as the Vice President of Omnichannel since March 2015. Prior to that, she spent 27 years at Sears, holding such positions as Senior Director and General Manager of Online.
10. Abbie Weiss
L'Oreal Luxe is on the hunt for a new Director, E-commerce.
Abbie, who currently holds the role, is moving into a new position at L'Oreal in the near future.
