Umbro is teaming with Absurd to create a new global web platform.

Deloitte Digital and Trax have teamed up to make implementation and integration of the latter’s Retail Watch shelf monitoring solution available to Deloitte’s grocery retail customer base in Spain.

Charlotte Tilbury has deployed Looker, the business intelligence and analytics platform from Google Cloud.

Tesco will next month trial grocery home deliveries with drones. This will take place in Ireland, where the retailer’s partner Manna has a licence to operate.

Walmart has announced a drone delivery pilot with Flytrex.

This has launched in Fayetteville, North Carolina and focuses on delivering select grocery and household essential items from Walmart stores.

Dunkin’ is set to test out an Amazon Go style store in California.

The checkout-free pilot will launch in October at an as yet unnamed location. It will involve the use of Shop Anywhere by Mastercard, which is powered by Accel Robotics. Circle K and foodservice management company Delaware North are also testing the technology. 

Laser Clinics UK has signed a three-year contract with Retail Assist which will see the latter provide its IT Help Desk service. 

Mexican furniture retailer, Gaia Design, has gone live with new Stickers technology from startup Hullabalook.

The aim here is to recreate the showroom experience that has been lost due to Covid-19. Gaia Design used the tech to launch Sketchbuilder, which allows you to visualise your space with 2D stickers and share or buy products on any device.

Indian IT giant Tech Mahindra is teaming up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to build and deploy blockchain solutions on Amazon Managed Blockchain. 

Over the next 12 to 18 months, the company will work on blockchain solutions for the aviation, telecom and healthcare sectors, and also industries like banking and financial services, retail, manufacturing, and oil and gas. 

Amazon is developing its Amazon Scout vehicles for use in the UK following the coronavirus powered boom in online shopping. Work is taking place at its Cambridge centre.

London-based startup Social Vend has worked with Haeckles to turn the skincare and fragrances retailer’s Margate store into “a fully automated, humanless experience”
