RTIH rounds up the stand out retail systems deals, deployments and pilots from the past seven days.

US-based The Save Mart Companies has launched a pilot involving the Simbe Robotics autonomous inventory robot Tally.

It will deploy Tally in three Save Mart stores in the Modesto area; two Lucky California stores in Dublin and San Ramon; and two FoodMaxx locations in Modesto and Tracy. 

German kitchenware manufacturer ZWILLING has selected Kibo Order Management to automate inventory sourcing logic and fulfilment capabilities.

Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield has announced a three year deal with The Cloud + Compass to deliver OOH media campaigns featuring real-time footfall data at Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City.

The use of a StoreBoost platform, which is connected to the JCDecaux network of digital screens in URW’s UK malls, and Digital Doorman technology, will kick off with campaigns from Deezer and L’Occitane.

Kroger has introduced its first customer fulfilment centre, powered by the Ocado Smart Platform.

This is the result of an exclusive Kroger and Ocado partnership, signed in 2018. 

The CFC is located in Monroe, OH, a city north of Cincinnati.

Chiliz, the blockchain venture behind the Socios.com fan engagement platform, has announced a partnership with Rakuten Europe.

The latter’s customers in Spain, UK and Germany can use Rakuten points to redeem fan tokens.

These are collectible, tradable digital assets that provide owners with benefits including voting rights, VIP rewards, club and sponsor promotions, AR enabled features and super fan recognition on Socios.com.

CaaStle, a US-based B2B rental technology platform, is launching in the UK. 

It has partnered with Moss Bros. to launch MOSS BOX, a subscription rental service for men. 

The company will also team with L.K. Bennett to offer an unlimited rental service exclusively for women. This is set to go live during the summer. 

Amazon has opened an Amazon Fresh location in White City, London.

It’s the third such convenience store to feature Just Walk Out Shopping tech in the UK, which was pioneered at the Amazon Go offering in the States.

Cleveron has unveiled an unmanned semi-autonomous last mile delivery vehicle, the Cleveron 701. 

It has been piloting the solution for the last six months in Estonia and says it will begin mass production in 2023. 

Revionics has renewed its pricing platform agreement with Swedish pharmacy chain Apotek Hjärtat.

The collaboration between the two first began in 2016.

Revionics’ solutions support pricing and promotional strategies that adapt to customers’ evolving behaviours. Apotek Hjärtat’s sister company, Rimi Baltic, also uses the tech.

Flying Tiger Copenhagen and MUJI are launching App Clips alongside MishiPay’s mobile self-checkout solution.

iPhone using customers in MUJI stores in the UK, and selected Flying Tiger Copenhagen stores across Denmark and Sweden can now use App Clips with Apple Pay to launch MishiPay’s Scan & Go technology.

X5 Retail Group’s Perekrestok supermarket chain has launched a large scale implementation of a Green Dot labelling system for monitoring product freshness. 

Ten million labels will be placed on items from the X5 Smart Kitchen assortment of ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook foods.

Russia’s X5 says that it is the largest roll-out of this technology in Europe.

French fashion brand Zadig&Voltaire has partnered with Contentsquare on a website redesign project.

It will leverage the venture’s tech for customer behaviour insights, helping merchandising decisions as well as improving the checkout funnel.

Domino's and Nuro have launched autonomous pizza delivery in Houston. 

Select customers who place a prepaid order on dominos.com on certain days and times from Domino's in Woodland Heights, located at 3209 Houston Ave., can choose to have their pizza delivered by Nuro's R2 robot.
