“Robotics technology helps extend the reach and capability of our team in a manner that makes tasks easier and more efficient, and make our fulfilment centres safer and more collaborative.” 

500The Body Shop is leading the way in customer web experience, according to the latest UK Digital Retail Index from Remarkable Commerce.

The cosmetics retailer achieved the highest score for its website in an analysis of 500 of the largest online players, which used four key metrics such as accessibility, search engine optimisation (SEO), user experience (UX) and site speed.

The company currently delivers to customers in more than 1,200 cities across four countries, including the UK.

400Instacart has expanded its US partnership with value retailer Grocery Outlet to offer same-day delivery (in as fast as an hour) from nearly 400 stores in California, Oregon, Washington and Pennsylvania.

This builds on Instacart bringing Grocery Outlet onto its app last year, making online shopping and delivery available to the latter’s customers for the first time. 

The initial pilot ran for six months across nearly 70 Grocery Outlet stores in California.

100…Over 100 robot delivery vehicles were last week sent to Shanghai from e-commerce giant JD.com’s autonomous driving research bases in Beijing and Shanghai.

These will be used for last mile delivery of customer orders and PPE to the likes of mobile cabin hospitals, Covid-19 lockdown communities, and delivery stations.

931Australian retailer Coles Liquor is implementing the RELEX Solutions Living Retail platform across its 931 stores. 

The solution will service Coles Liquor’s Liquorland, First Choice Liquor Market and Vintage Cellars stores as well as five distribution centres throughout Australia, with the aim of driving improved availability for customers through supply chain planning and AI driven replenishment.
