Maxi Di boosts digitalisation journey by tapping additional retail technology solutions from Pricer

Pricer has inked a framework agreement for the last quarter of 2023 and 2024 with Maxi Di, a retail group within Selex Group, and Pricer’s partner IBC.

“We are thrilled to share the exciting news that Maxi Di, who already uses Pricer’s in-store solution in more than 50 large format stores, has chosen to enhance and solidify its digitalisation journey by embracing additional innovative solutions from Pricer,” says Michael Cacciatore, Country Manager at Pricer Italy.

“This agreement represents a noteworthy advancement in the ongoing evolution of digitalisation within the retail sector.”

Although the agreement contains no commitments, the goal is to expand the number of points of sale and develop new features based on the cloud-based platform Pricer Plaza.

These initiatives are in line with a heightened emphasis on sustainability and efficiency, along with enhancements in in-store activities.

Pricer’s in-store automation and communication solution, based on Pricer Plaza, is a system for the management of intelligent electronic shelf labels. It uses light for communication, with the aim of ensuring greater reactivity and absence of interference.

This technology, combined with Pricer's SmartFlash system, allows highlighting specific labels in less than two seconds and improving energy efficiency, and it can also be used to support reducing food waste.

In addition, the potential time savings for the store employees is estimated to be 5,200 hours per store per year (source: Total Economic Impact of Pricer, Forrester Consulting, 2022).

“We are pleased to announce that the first orders deriving from this framework agreement have already been confirmed and was invoiced in the last quarter of 2023, marking the beginning of a fruitful and long-term collaboration between Pricer, Maxi Di and IBC,” says Cacciatore.
