Helsinki headquartered e-commerce startup Starcart brings AI powered shopping to Swedish consumers

Starcart, a Finnish e-commerce startup, has announced its expansion into Sweden.

The company’s platform allows consumers to buy products from multiple e-commerce stores through a single interface, with just one shopping cart and one payment.

Leveraging AI agent technology, it automatically finds the best prices, availability, and shipping times, and completes the checkout process for the consumer in over 200 stores.

"With a robust online shopping culture, Sweden is an ideal first market for Starcart’s international expansion. We are thrilled to offer the one-click shopping experience of Starcart to Swedish shoppers”, says Pasi Ilola, Founder and CEO at Starcart.

“As a consumer myself, I know the difficulties of online shopping. We spend far too much time finding available products, comparing prices and figuring out delivery times. Our one-button seamless shopping service will finally make online shopping fast and enjoyable for everyone."

“The most advanced e-commerce platforms are outshined by the simplicity and convenience of Starcart - for us and the customer,” says Eric Letkow from Proshop, one of Starcart’s merchant partners.

“With Starcart, we have full transparency, no technical integration and a new favourite sales channel. It is such a surprise that we now wonder why it can't always be like this.”

Starcart has recently received an EU-wide Payment Institution licence from the Finnish Financial Regulatory Authority, or FIN-FSA.

Following its launch in Sweden, this allows it to continue its expansion across Europe, bringing its solution to all 30 EU and EEC markets. The company reports a recent 3.5 million euro seed funding led by Inventure in 2023, and 15 million products currently available from over 200 online stores.
