Five stand out retail tech funding rounds in 2019
RTIH rounds up the retail technology ventures who have been making waves with major investments.
1. Fabric
Israeli micro-fulfilment startup Fabric, formerly known as CommonSense Robotics, has snagged $110 million in a Series B funding round.
2. The Yes
Julie Bornstein, former Chief Operating Officer at Stitch Fix, has taken the wraps off her new venture The Yes.
She has pulled in $30 million from the likes of Forerunner Ventures’s Kirsten Green, True Ventures’s Jon Callaghan and NEA’s Tony Florence. Comcast Ventures and Bain Capital Ventures have also participated in its Series A and seed rounds.
3. Namogoo
Namogoo, an Israeli startup that has developed a solution for online enterprises to prevent customer journey hijacking, has raised $40 million in Series C funding.
4. b8ta
b8ta, an experiential retail startup, has announced a $50 million Series C round led by Evolution Ventures with participation from existing investors including Macy's, Khosla Ventures and Peak State Ventures.
5. Riskified
Payments and fraud prevention solutions provider, Riskified, has closed a Series E funding round of $165 million, led by General Atlantic, at a valuation of more than $1 billion.
