E-commerce logistics startup Pandion raises $30 million
US-based e-commerce delivery startup Pandion has announced $30 million in new funding, consisting of a $22.5 million Series A and a $7.5 million add-on investment.
The startup’s founder and CEO is Scott Ruffin, who was the head of Amazon Air for almost five years.
He has also served as Vice President and Head of Walmart's e-commerce transportation business.
“Our mission is to provide low cost, high performance delivery that’s purpose built for e-commerce, and today’s funding will help us continue to scale our technology and sortation centre teams as we start operations ahead of another holiday shopping season where demand is expected to significantly outpace capacity,” Ruffin comments.

Later this year, Pandion is also set to open a 150,000 square foot sorting centre in Quakertown, Pennsylvania.
The venture, which uses machine learning to more efficiently transport e-commerce packages, was founded in 2020 and came out of stealth in February.
