A2Z Smart Technologies Corp. announces formation of dedicated Big Data team

A2Z Smart Technologies Corp. reports that, as part of a move towards being a software, digital and data platform company focused on data-based value added services, it has established a dedicated Big Data team.

The aim here is to develop tools to identify, mine, and collect the data generated by Cust2Mate's smart carts platform.

HaStok Concept

A2Z recently announced a new customer partnership with HaStok Concept, an Israel-based home design and household essentials chain with 40 stores across the country.

The tie up marks an expansion for A2Z's smart cart solution into a new vertical outside of grocery retail.

The purchase order is for 1,000 smart carts and is comprised of an upfront payment, a guaranteed monthly payment, and a revenue share agreement on added value solutions, such as advertising.

Every item placed in the smart cart is recognised and added to a displayed shopping list, allowing for real-time information and calculation of the total cost of the purchase.

The touchscreen and charging pad allow payment without cashiers and two way communication between the retailer and its customers throughout the shopping journey.
