A2Z Smart Technologies agrees Cust2mate smart cart partnership with Lenovo Group
A2Z Smart Technologies Corp. subsidiary, Cust2mate, has partnered with Lenovo Group.
Under the joint venture, the company will use Lenovo solutions in its Cust2mate smart cart solution and Lenovo will sell and promote the offering through its worldwide channels.
Bundled with global, on-site support, Cust2mate can roll-out its platform to supermarkets around the world, with future service needs covered by Lenovo's global support.

Hila Kraus, Head of Sales, says: "The Cust2Mate platform with embedded Lenovo OEM solution is designed to serve shoppers from the moment they enter the store until they leave-without any friction, lines, or delays."
She adds: "Equally important is vendor support and services. Lenovo's global scale and reach was a key deciding factor, as we look to expand into new markets worldwide.”
“We have a great relationship with the local team in Israel, who have offered valuable advice and technical support throughout the cart design process."
The Mall Group
Last year, A2Z Smart Technologies Corp. announced a pilot programme for its Cust2Mate smart carts with Thailand’s The Mall Group.
This will take place in the Gourmet Market area and for the first time involve integration with the Fujitsu PoS system. It will be run in five stores.
The smart carts recognise every purchased item and enable in-cart payment so that shoppers can skip lines, while also allowing retail grocers to direct shoppers to discounted products and in-store promotions.
Rafael Yam, Chief Executive Officer at Cust2Mate, commented: "We are excited to announce our first pilot programme in Thailand.”
“This is another major milestone for the company as not only does it validate our offering in another region but integrating our solution with another world leading PoS system in the form of Fujitsu opens up a host of opportunities worldwide.”
“With existing integrations with NCR and Toshiba PoS systems already under way, we have made our adoption by retailers around the world a much easier option."
