Moonpig gets into the dating game with launch of new app-based MoonMatch love connection feature
Moonpig is gearing up to launch a new feature on its mobile app (MoonMatch) which allows customers to swipe to find a love connection. The company says that it is, in the process, bringing back the lost art of writing love letters.
So, how does it work?
Once customers find a match, they’re each given the opportunity to send up to five free love letters to one another.
And, in a bid to help get to know your crush even better, Moonpig is encouraging people to use its handwriting feature after experts revealed that a person's handwriting can in fact reveal more than 5,000 different personality traits.
From the size of your letters, spacing and font curvature, all of these unique characteristics can help you find your one true love, Moonpig claims.
A MoonMatch spokesperson comments: “We’re all about creating better and more meaningful connections, which is why we thought we’d take it one step further by helping the nation find love.”
“We have such a great range of ‘Just A Note’ cards and this coupled with our handwriting feature is a great way to help budding lovers woo their other half through by writing them a love letter.”
The launch comes after there has been a rise in use of the handwriting feature which allows customers to write a message, take a picture of their handwritten sentiments and then upload the message to the inside of their card.
To help hopeful romantics find out more about their partner, Moonpig has rounded up these three top tips to look out for when analysing the handwriting in your love letter:
Large letters tend to be associated with people who are outgoing, people orientated, love attention and can be quite outspoken
If words are spaced quite far apart, this is often indicative of someone who likes their own freedom and not to be overwhelmed or crowded
Rounded or more cursive style letters shows you are creative and artistic
So, there you go! Best of luck to all those hopeless romantics using this new offering.
The aforementioned feature will launch on the company’s app in April with a new advertising campaign set to roll-out in May.
