Focus on influencers as online fashion retailer boohoo taps LoudCrowd technology for social commerce journey
In 2022, LoudCrowd started working with boohoo to scale the online retailer’s influencer programmes.
In a LinkedIn post, Gary Garofalo, CEO at LoudCrowd, said: “They were already working with hundreds of influencers in a one-to-one capacity. And like most brands, they had roughly reached their capacity in cost/effort.”
“We were able to set up automated creator programs and scale their relationships into the thousands. Now, we're taking the next step and giving all of those creators their own storefronts on the respective boohoo properties.”
He added: “With the content machine in place, it's time to shift the focus to monetisation. Now boohoo will be getting the full funnel benefit of working with creators. Top of funnel brand awareness, and a best-in-class conversion experiences with our native creator storefronts.
“Congrats to Stephanie Riddell (Senior Influencer & PR Manager at boohoo), Edith Batchelor (Senior Digital Marketing Manager) and team! Excited to be part of boohoo’s social commerce journey.”
2023 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS
boohoo was shortlisted in the Best Retailer/Technology Supplier Relationship (UK) category at the 2023 RTIH Innovation Awards, for its work with CORE.
boohoo's ambition in 2022 was to grow sales in the US, and ensure its fashion products reached its new US distribution centre from the UK, entering the country quickly and compliantly. Previously, orders placed in the US were shipped from overseas with delivery taking eight to ten days.
A legacy system for assigning tariff codes, required for every single product shipped internationally, used traditional, paper-based processes and decentralised data systems.
boohoo partnered with specialist customs classification solutions provider, CORE, to support it in adhering to complex US customs controls using the centralised TariffTel platform for assigning US tariff codes.
Our 2023 winners were revealed at a fantastic awards ceremony, which took place at the Barbican Centre in central London.
The event was held on Wednesday, 29th November, maintaining its popular evening format, with a drinks reception in the stunning Conservatory, followed by a Christmas themed three course meal, and awards ceremony in the Garden Room.
